A Building Biologist with a houseside manner.
Kit Brucker is one of the few Building Biologists who is also certified and licensed for mold inspection. Coupled with his experience remodeling homes, this lets him offer one of the most thorough home assessments available. He understands how things in your home are supposed to work, so he knows where the weak spots are and where they're most likely to fail.
Remodeling ugly houses led to a career pivot.
A health crisis that no doctor could solve turned into the practice you see today.
My passion for remodeling the ugliest houses I could find came with an unexpected cost. My family’s health suffered from hidden mold, EMFs, and other toxins in the homes we lived in while I worked on them. For decades, we spent tens of thousands on healthcare solutions that never resolved.
The truth came into focus later. The internal environment (our health) had been shaped by the external environment (the homes). That discovery pushed me into Building Biology. Today I run whole-home assessments across Florida and Georgia, with virtual consults anywhere in the US.
My wife, Deb, is the one who keeps things running behind the scenes so my clients can get what they need when they need it. She is a Building Biology Advocate and a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, so she understands what you’re going through and how to help.
Certified by the institutions that set the standard.

We might not be right for you if...
A filter saves everyone time.
If you’re just looking for an inspection of one room. The whole house is connected, and we don’t want anything missed. Frequently, the biggest issues are hidden and the homeowner is not aware until we find it.
If you want an inspector who tells you what you want to hear, we’re not the right fit. Kit’s job is to read the readings and report what they show. Sometimes the findings are not what clients expected. If a remediator told you a job is finished and the readings say otherwise, the readings win.
If you’re looking for a quick, cheap mold inspection. Most mold inspectors are in and out in under an hour and charge $400-600. Kit spends around 4 hours in an average sized home. When we say he inspects every area he can safely fit into, we’re not kidding. This is the most thorough home assessment available.
The 25 Building Biology principles in plain English.
The lens Kit uses to look at your home.
Building Biology started in postwar Germany as a response to homes being built from synthetic materials and sealed tight against ventilation. The founding principles describe what a healthy home looks like across air, water, light, sound, electromagnetic environment, thermal comfort, and building materials. They are tighter than EPA guidelines on residential indoor air. Code is a floor; the principles set a ceiling.
In practice the 25 principles translate to a few simple rules. Breathable wall assemblies beat sealed ones. Bedrooms should be quiet electromagnetic environments for the eight hours they hold you. Moisture and mold are linked problems, not separate ones. The home and the occupant are one system. Fix the home, give the occupant a chance.
The full principles live in our Resources. Kit is happy to walk through any of them on a call.
