About Me – a Certified Building Biologist 

 

My passion for remodeling the ugliest houses I could find came with an unexpected cost: my family’s health suffered from hidden mold, EMFs, and other toxins in our homes. For decades, we spent tens of thousands of dollars on unsuccessful healthcare solutions before finally realizing the truth—their health (internal environment) had been severely affected by homes (external environment).

This discovery inspired me to make a mid-life career shift into Building Biology and the study of healthy indoor environments. I now focus on reducing exposure to toxins such as mold and EMFs. Today, as a Building Biologist, Mold Assessor, and Home Inspector, I apply the techniques I’ve mastered to help people create healthy homes and achieve better health without spending a fortune.

What is Building Biology?

Building Biology studies the indoor environment and its impact on health. The  25 Building Biology Principles guide us to ensure your home or workplace supports your quality of life and protects the environment. We use nature as the Gold Standard and apply these concepts to help you meet your objective.

Kit graduated from the Building Biology Institute in May 2023. He also holds IICRC training, along with CRMI, CMR, and CCMI certifications in mold inspection and remediation. Kit’s Building Biology training sets him apart from most mold inspectors because he takes a holistic approach to help you create a healthier living or working environment.

We currently provide in-person mold, EMF, EMR, and VOC inspections in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. We also offer home pre-purchase inspections in Florida. We travel to other locations as availability allows, with an extra fee that we waive for multiple inspections.
