Kit’s history of remodeling the ugliest houses he could find led to an unexpected expense: the health of his family was nearly ruined by mold and other toxins they were unknowingly surrounding themselves with. Decades and tens of thousands of dollars spent on unsuccessful healthcare solutions to uncover the cause of their health issues ultimately led his family to realize that their health (internal environment) had been greatly affected by their homes (external environment). This discovery prompted a mid-life career shift into Building Biology and the study of healthy indoor environments, focusing on reducing exposure to toxins like mold and EMFs. Now, as a Building Biologist, Mold Assessor, and Home Inspector, Kit uses the techniques he has mastered to help people achieve better health without spending a fortune.
Kit currently holds over 50 certifications including:
Building Biology’s BBEC (Building Biology Environmental Consulting) and EMRS (Electro Magnetic Radiation Specialist),
IICRC WRT (Water Restoration Technician – Mold), and
InterNACHI Home Inspection.
He is also licensed in the State of Florida for:
Mold Assessment (License MRSA5292)
& Home Inspection (License HI16645).
What is Building Biology?
Building Biology is the study of the indoor environment and its impact on health. It is based on the 25 Building Biology Principles that help to make sure the building you’re living or working in is not detracting from your quality of life or disrupting the environment. Nature is the Gold Standard and we can apply these concepts to ensure you meet your objective. Kit is currently enrolled in the Building Biology Institute and on track to finish in May 2023. He is also IICRC trained, plus CRMI, CMR, and CCMI certified for mold inspection and remediation. Kit’s Building Biology training is what sets him apart from most mold inspectors, he looks at things more holistically with the objective of helping you have a healthier living or working environment.
